10 ANIMALS IN DANGER OF EXTINCTION IN MEXICO
Mexico is one of only 17 countries that are considered very diverse, but what this means is that its land surface represents 10% of the total planet Earth and includes 10% of the world’s biological diversity.Here we can find more than 200,000 species from 2,500 of them legally despite this fact. Some are still at risk of extinction.
1 – Ocelot:
In addition to the survival of just under 2 million individuals of this species, although the population is greater than the number of other endangered species, there is a decrease in the population due to the trafficking of their skins as well as the continuous destruction of the ecosystems in which they live.
2- American black bear:
Black bear is one of the newest Mexican animals threatened with extinction, illegal hunting and habitat destruction are the main reasons in addition to Mexico, the black bear is found in Canada and Alaska is the most common bear in North America and their number is currently estimated at between 500,000 and 750,000 carrying land.
